One day, while walking through Camberwell, I noticed numerous marks left by discarded chewing gum on the sidewalk. These markings became to look to me as though they were part of an an astronomic image or one of my mind maps. Even without looking through a microscope or telescope, micro-cosmoses are always lurking in our lives. Can making a connection to an unnamed place be a substitute for praying or meditation?
This is the map of the positional relationship of chewing gums on the pavement. I printed the pavement pattern on the canvas and put small nails on each gum's marks. To visualize the relationship, I used white threads and tracing paper. When I walking around the city, my thought goes into abstract than usual like this work. At the same time, these thoughts and ideas are affected by the landscape.
